You know, I have been in Akwaibom state for the past three months or more...for my training as an officer (head swells at this point). I have had three highly embarrassing moments...let me start with the first.
So on this day, I was on my way back from training, actually, another colleague celebrated his birthday after work, and as Assistant Provost wey I be, I suppose represent. Few minutes past six, I left, heading home.
I got to Itam junction, that's where I take keke to my home on ....... road. (you think I will freely give my address to the monitoring spirits around??? Looool)...
ehen as I was saying...it started drizzling...and luckily for me, I had my umbrella.
I was still waiting for a keke when a young man, fair and tall, holding an ipad, begged to share my umbrella with me. Being the good samaritan mama raised me to be...I kukuma agree.
Not up to a minute later, I felt him really close behind me...too close for comfort...I mean...if you are sharing space with me, you should be beside me, not behind my ministry. I adjusted a bit, in my mind I was like, get thee behind me satan...how can you put such an unholy thought in my head. so I shifted forward, allowing d rain drip on me a bit, you will not believe the nincompoop adjusted and gummed his essentials behind me. I was like ah ahh...did I kim k my dress in anyway?? is d colour AMBER or is der a ROSE on my cloth?? I suddenly couldn't help but wonder what was going on.
So I decided to carry out the litmus test. I moved over to his right hand side, lemme see how he would form a right angle triangle with his ministry...and you won't believe it, but he did!!
How he got behind me without looking in my direction baffles me till date... I just snatched my umbrella and walked away after giving him a long hiss...Pervert!!!
Some people are outright shameless!! I couldn't say a word before someone will just slap me on the road for nothing....but I learnt a lesson.
See, even if hail and brimstone is falling, as long as you are a man, sharing my umbrella is banned........ in AkwaIbom state.
*runsaway*
